Our strong educational approach embraces the fact that every child comes to us with his or her own hopes and aspirations.

Robert Cody, Head of School, ACS Doha

Robert Cody has more than 20 years of experience as an educator, administrator, and community collaborator. Known for closing his emails and letters with the words “Relentlessly Positive,” he says the practice holds him accountable to having a positive attitude. Robert began his career teaching Middle and High School in New York and New Hampshire, before serving as a High School Assistant Principal in Vermont.

He was appointed principal of Manitou Springs High School in Manitou Springs, Colorado in 2002. For three years, Robert implemented the renowned International Baccalaureate programme at Northbridge International School Cambodia, providing students with a recognised continuum of education to rigorously challenge their academic and personal growth. As an administrator who leads by example, Robert also worked alongside students as they built homes in surrounding communities for Habitat for Humanity.

To meet these needs we believe it is important to encourage the pursuit of academic endeavour within a caring environment that finds and focuses on each student’s specific ability and learning style.

To that end we offer:

  • The IB Primary Years Programme (PYP)* - ages 3 - 5 (PreK3 to Kindergarten in our Early Childhood section)
  • The IB Primary Years Programme (PYP)* – ages 6 to 10 (Grade 1 to 5 in Lower School)
  • The IB Middle Years Programme (IBMYP) – ages 11 to 15 (Grade 6 to 10)
  • The IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) – ages 16 to 18 (Grade 11 & 12)
  • A US High School Diploma – ages 16 to 18 (Grade 11 & 12).

*IBPYP Candidate school awaiting full authorisation from the IB.
